Very rare early example of the chair number two in aluminium and plywood by Maarten van Severen, made in his own workshop. The earliest version of this design is recognizable by the bolts attaching the cross-beam between the two rear legs. In later versions Van Severen found a way to attach the cross-beam without using bolts. That later version of CN° II is included in the collection of the Victoria & Albert museum.
