Item Description
Rietveld designed this chair in 1932 in search of an easy-to-assemble chair. Only two examples were produced in the early 1930. The existence of this model was rediscovered in 2010 when the owners delivered it to the Central Museum of Utrecht. In 2011 Victor Veldhuijzen van Zanten reproduced a limited edition of the Rietveld Hopmi chair with the permission of the Rietveld heirs, making it available to the public for the first time in history.
We have several chairs available upon request, they make a great gift for design enthusiasts and architecture students. The limited edition of the Rietveld Hopmi chairs are packed in a strong black paperboard case of 50 x 53 x 8 cm. A booklet, in four languages, about the Hopmi chair with the original drawings by Rietveld is included, as well as a tool and assembly instructions.
