Item Description

Ilmari Lappalainen “Pulkka” lounge chair and ottoman, by Asko, Finland. Original white leather cushions with removable headrest and leather armrests, aluminum frame. The original white color on the leather has worn off in time on most of the surface showing the natural colored leather gleaming through, giving this piece a very distinct vintage look. The leather is still strong and supple and feeling very comfortable. The seat angle adjusts in the frame for a perfect seat angle, making this combo a dream to sit in. Chair: 30″w x 38″d x 28″h, ottoman: 22″w x 20″d x 13.5″h Ilmari Lappalainen (1910-1972) was a renowned Finnish furniture designer and architect, recognized for his contributions to mid-20th century design.
