Wonderful matching set of 4 DAR (Dining Armchair Rod) chairs in beautiful indigo blue fiberglass designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller. The Eiffel bases are made in zinc plated steel rod that has aged to a very attractive dull clouded grey. Some wear to the chairs from rubbing to a wall every now and then, as shown in the photos. Overall a great and very hard to find vintage matching set in a beautiful color. Charles Eames and Ray Eames were the embodiment of the inventiveness, energy and optimism at the heart of Mid-Century Modern American design, and have been recognized as the most influential designers of the 20th century.
