Item Description
Gabriella folding lounge chair with a steel frame, seat, and back upholstered in black Naugahyde. This iconic chair was designed by the Italian designer Gio Ponti and released in a limited edition of 100 pieces by Paolo Pallucco in 1991. This chair has the very low number 002/100, marked with label. The Gabriella chair was originally designed by Gio Ponti during the 1970s. This chair is a modern interpretation of historical folding chairs that were praised for their mobility and functionality, which was revived and glamorized in the 1960s-1970s design sphere in Europe. This design displays playfulness with a stylish modern silhouette and an unexpected proportion with its relatively tall back and shallow seating, yet it still manages to provide comfort.
