An exceptionally rare Mobiletto T128 revolving cabinet designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno. A masterful example of Borsani’s innovative approach to furniture design, the T128 combines sophisticated engineering with refined Italian modernism in a compact and highly functional form. The cabinet is composed of a cylindrical black leather-clad exterior that conceals a rotating dark grey lacquered plywood interior. Mounted on concealed castors, the cabinet glides effortlessly while the inner storage compartment revolves smoothly within the outer shell, creating a dynamic interaction between form and function. The combination of lacquered plywood, laminate, leather, and steel reflects Tecno’s commitment to advanced materials and precision craftsmanship. Elegant from every angle, the Mobiletto T128 was conceived as a versatile storage piece for both residential and executive interiors. Its sculptural presence and ingenious revolving mechanism make it as much a design object as a practical cabinet. This example retains its original manufacturer’s label to the interior, confirming its authenticity.
