A superb mid-century modern Italian walnut wardobe, made to Measure for the villa of an Italian executive in 1960. Inside the wardrobe 4 organic design coat hangers in cast bronze are mounted to the green felt covered rear panel. The wardrobe futures many hand carved details and doors that double as a frame for glass panels covering rectangular prints on paper of an Italian landscape. When desired the prints can be replaced with your choice of illustration to change the mood of this piece entirely. You can also choose to replace the glass panels with mirrors. Both corners of the wardrobe are clad with 10 stacked rectangular mirrors. The craftsmanship of this piece is exceptionally. The advanced modern design in combination with the remarkable carving makes this piece truly exceptional. This is a one-off piece, designed by an interior architect for a villa in the south of Italy. The interior architect also designed a very impressive display cabinet and a desk with a matching rosewood chair for the villa with the same distinguished characteristics.
