A superb Italian walnut wardobe covered with green felt on the inside, made to Measure for the villa of an Italian executive in 1960. Inside the wardrobe 4 organic design coat hangers in cast bronze are mounted to the rear panel. The wardrobe futures many hand carved details and doors that double as a frame for 2 rectangular prints on paper of an Italian landscape. When desired the prints can be replaced with your choice of illustration to change the mood of this piece entirely. Both corners of the wardrobe are clad with 10 stacked rectangular mirrors. The craftsmanship of this piece is exceptionally. The advanced modern design in combination with the remarkable carving makes this piece truly exceptional. This is a one-off piece, designed by an interior architect for a villa in the south of Italy. The interior architect also designed a very impressive display cabinet and a desk with a matching rosewood chair for the villa with the same distinguished characteristics.
