This beautiful showpiece was bought directly from Jaime Hayon in 2006. According to the Hayon studio the piece was never put into production making this a one-off piece. It consists of a black plinth on black steel legs with a dark glass box with sliding glass doors on top. It was part of the Showtime collection designed for Pallucco. After the studio pictures were taken in 2006, the cabinet was changed slightly, the inside closed blue box was exchanged with an open blue box as shown in the pictures in situ. “You can never have too much storage for your gadgets and gizmos. The Kubo-Kube helps to remedy that, in a rather unusual way, by combining a cabinet within a cabinet to create a new type of contemporary piece. The illusion created is almost like looking at a magical box with goodies hiding inside through the glass shell.”
The Jaime Hayon Halo mirror in the pictures was purchased at the same time.
