Item Description
This daring, contemporary design classic turns the polite activity of tea drinking on its head. The Rotterdam-based Studio Weiki Somers—one of today’s brightest and most poetic design stars—surprises us by modeling a teapot on the shape of a pig’s skull. The studio originally designed this piece for a project called Deliciously Decadent; Somers herself defines decadence as the moment “where the tasty and the unsavory, the harmful and the delightful, are no longer discernible from one another.” The High Tea Pot is included in the permanent collections of both the V&A in London and the MoMA in New York.
