Item Description
Monumental square dining or conference table in cast aluminum and smoked glass, designed by Kho Liang Ie for Artifort. Hightech lightweight off-white enameled aluminum frame with friendly rounded corners. This very rare table resembles designs by Ettore Sottsass but predates Post Modernism by 10 years. The Italian Post Modern designers were clearly inspired by Kho Liang Ie. Some paint loss on the frame as shown in the photos, patina from years of careful use. Very solid and comfortable table. Kho Liang Ie, a visionary Dutch-Indonesian designer, was a key figure in the mid-20th-century modernist movement.
