Category: Creators: ,

Item Description

Finn Juhl, sofa model ’57’, fabric upholstery, steel, teak, leather, Denmark, design 1957. An extraordinary sofa designed by Finn Juhl. The sofa was exhibited for the very first time in the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen during 1957. The extravagant design is characterized by the armrests that look to resemble the spread-out wings of a bird. The beautiful two-tone fabric upholstery emphasizes the sculptural quality of the monumental design. Please note that these sofas are from a more recent production by One Collection. They were exhibited in a boardroom for 20 years but hardly used. They are in immaculate condition. Marked with a signature and a label as pictured. Two identical sofas available, priced individually.
