Classic large white Tulip dining table with 5 Tulip chairs designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International. A defining accomplishment of modern design and a timeless addition to your home—a true Classic. Logo embossed in pedestal bottom. Knoll tag adhered to the tabletop bottom. All chairs have a Knoll tag adhered to the seat under the seat cushion. The complete set acquired from the first owner, amazing unrestored all original condition. The owner had 3 more identical Tulip chairs that we offer separately. Reference: Publication excerpt from the museum of modern art, MoMA highlights, New York: The museum of modern art, revised 2004, originally published 1999, p. 220. Knoll International was founded in New York by the 26 year old German Hans Knoll (1914-1955) in 1938. When Hans Knoll died at a young age his wife Florence Knoll took over and under her influence the company flourished and created its best designs. She designed and led the company where she cooperated with talented designers such as Eero Saarinen, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Richard Schultz and Harry Bertoia.
