An “Uchiwa” wall light by Ingo Maurer (1932 to 2019) for M design, Germany, 1970s. Beautiful understated design composed of rice paper and bamboo, which gives a beautifully warm and diffuse glow. The light is in wonderful all original vintage condition. The fixture has the original black wiring with in-line switch and European plug. Wiring suitable for use in the USA is available at no extra charge. We recommend a low-heat bulb (E27/E28) to protect this delicate fixture for the future. The light hangs on a wire frame on the reverse, mounted with black fabric tape to the stem, and typically slopes forward a little on install.
