Beautiful vintage chocolate brown leather Kubus sofa 8020 and matching armchair designed by Josef Hoffman and made by Alivar. This set is was lovingly cared for and is in wonderful all original condition. Alivar Museum catalog with an identical set pictured in it is included. Three-seat sofa and matching arm chair, chocolate brown upholstery made of individually stitched and piped leather pieces on grey/blue stained beech legs. Made for pure comfort and style. Priced as a set. The “Kubus” sofa was made for an exhibition in Buenos Aires, organized in 1910 to celebrate the centennial of Argentina’s independence. The name is reminiscent of cubism, which was born and affirmed during those years. Designed in 1910 by Josef Hoffmann.
