Item Description

Dutch design label Thomas Eyck commissioned designer Dick van Hoff to design a series of products in leather. For this collection Dick van Hoff, founder of Vanhoffontwerpen, used leather in a fresh and innovative way. He draws existing dogmas into question and offers new ways of going through our daily routine. As he calls it: “decelerate to accelerate”. The products have a striking relevance about them. The designs are archetypes that capture your heart, they are robust in shape with subtle detailing. The collection was produced in very limited numbers in close collaboration with “De Buffel” leatherwork and “Kuperus & Gardenier” carpentry in the Netherlands. This daybed was owned by Thomas Eyck who passed away in 2023 at the age of 59.
