Early Eames Red Aniline Dye LCM

Item Description

Wonderful early 1950s example of this design classic by Charles & Ray Eames. The connaisseur recognizes the original sock feet as a distinguished characteristic of an early LCM. Red was only produced for a few years because the red dye faded quickly in UV light. The original red aniline dye finish of this example has faded in time to a beautiful golden red. Later in the 1990’s Herman Miller reintroduced the LCM in red but that was a red lacquer and that took all life out of the design. Don’t let this beauty pass you by!
