The classic standard chair was originally designed by Jean Prouvé in 1934. This is the desirable Vitra limited RAW edition, in natural oak with a clear lacquered steel (metal brut) frame. No longer available in this most desirable combination of materials. Marked with label, packed in the original box. Jean Prouvé was a French industrial designer and architect who lived from 1901 to 1984. He was known for his innovative use of materials and his emphasis on functionality in his designs.
