Item Description

The St. Petersburg chair was designed for the Café Dutch Room in St. Petersburg. An antique chair is covered with layers of fiberglass strengthened polyester, the outermost layer silkscreened with a flowery pattern, bringing a new lease of life to old-fashioned chairs. From the edition of 100 all different chairs, all marked and numbered. Until recently you could still order one of these chairs at the Droog website for circa US$ 11,000 each, but now they are no longer available. They are included in important museum collections around the world. The Droog promotional photo shows the 3 chairs we have in stock, the last photo shows Droog founder Renny Ramakers sitting in one of the chairs we have.
In the permanent collection of: Indianapolis Museum (Indianapolis, USA) National Gallery of Victoria (Victoria, Australia).
