A wonderful matching pair of asymmetrical chairs by Saporiti. Curved maple burl veneer back and black leather seat. The Toscana chairs are designed in 1986 by Piero Sartogo.
Piero Sartogo is an Italian architect known for his innovative and creative designs. He was born in Rome in 1937 and studied architecture at the Sapienza University of Rome. Sartogo started his career as an assistant to Luigi Moretti, a well-known Italian architect. In 1968, he founded his own architecture firm, Sartogo Architetti Associati, which has completed a wide range of projects, including residential complexes, office buildings, and public spaces.
Sartogo’s designs are characterized by their modern and functional style, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
