A set of organic shaped walnut armchairs made circa 1950. Mid-Century Modern design and the self-evident quality of that era. The boxspring seats provide excellent comfort. Exquisite organically formed walnut frame with covered steel springs supports also add to the amazing comfort of these chairs. The design has an organic vibe similar to works by artists of the same era in Italy, such as Carlo Mollino, Campo Graffi, Ico Parisi and Gio Ponti. Priced as a pair. The walnut frame and steel springs are still very solid, the boxspring cushions as well. The wool upholstery was a reupholstery ordered some 20 years ago by the original owner, now 98 years old. This wasn’t done very well, reupholstery is strongly recommended and can be provided upon request.
