Lounge chair model Contour-Set 327 by Alf Svensson for Ljungs Industrier AB, Sweden. Adjustable in three different positions, very comfortable! Marked with the original label at the bottom of the seat. Great all original condition. The original fabric has a white embroidery that is worn through in several places. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well. Swedish furniture designer Alf Svensson (1929-1992) was particularly active in the 1950s through the ‘70s, designing for a variety of influential manufacturers. During the 1950s, like many of his Swedish and Scandinavian contemporaries, Svensson utilized traditional materials such as richly grained teak and rosewood and leather to create pieces that were typically designed in the Scandinavian modern style. Svensson’s designs for the Swedish furniture maker Dux are arguably his most well-known. In particular, his collection of easy chairs and lounge chairs – known as the Form Series – which was designed in the 1960s and ‘70s.
