Wonderfully organic carved walnut dining chairs made in Italy circa 1955. The chairs are unmarked, but are definitely inspired by the designs of Carlo Mollino. Matching set of 2 armchairs and 4 side chairs, upholstered in a very high-quality red checkered woven fabric. In the manner of Leonardo da Vinci, Mollino considered Nature as the “master of masters,” that is, the source of inspiration for a design able to combine structural rationality with harmony and expressive beauty. His bony and vegetable-like pieces of furniture were truly three-dimensional structures that conveyed an extraordinary feeling of vitality. Please note that we do not advise reupholstery before use. However, reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
