Matching set of 4 Mario Bellini for Cassina CAB 413 chairs in black Italian leather, made in Italy, circa 1982. Superior quality chairs consisting of hand-stitched black saddle leather upholstery wrapped over internal steel frame. The only additional reinforcement is provided by a rubber membrane plate that supports the seat. The design of the CAB chair is inspired by how our skin fits over our skeleton. Bellini’s innovative design is using zips to fasten the leather cover to its frame, a zip runs up the inside of each leg, sealing the cover firmly in place. This black leather set was used daily for the past 50 years and has developed a wonderful patina with folds and creases that refers to the human body even more and looks very inviting.
