Item Description

Original low stool or tabouret, known as the Berger Stool, designed by Charlotte Perriand. Inspired by pastoral mountain life, the design makes use of typical materials found in the Alps. Exquisitely handcrafted in mahogany using traditional woodworking techniques, as seen in the tapered legs and beautiful joinery details. The typical connection, used to turning the wood seat, is found underneath. Honest aging and patina to the wood and finish are present in this wonderful example. Literature: Charlotte Perriand Complete Works Volume 2: 1940-1955.
