Item Description
Architectural dining table, made in 1970 in The Netherlands by Metz & Co. The 2 square white laminate tops slide in a white enameled steel frame making the table infinitely adjustable from a length of 100 cm to a length of 200 cm. Most practical of course when the 2 tops are used in line in the top rail. Very interesting configuration that certainly is a conversation piece. Very reminiscent of the design language of Gerrit Rietveld and his De Stijl contemporaries. Metz & Co was the manufacturer of the early Gerrit Rietveld furniture.
