The Barcelona table was created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich for the German Pavilion at the 1929 Barcelona Exposition, the Barcelona table features the pure compositional structure that now epitomizes Modern architecture. The clean, rectilinear design features a flat bar “X” frame form with a 3/4” thick square glass tabletop. The base is polished chrome and features single piece construction for long-term durability and is hand-ground and hand-buffed to a mirror finish. The clean, simple, minimalist design has made the Barcelona table an iconic example of early 20th century modernist design. Knoll is the only authorized and licensed manufacturer of the Barcelona Collection since 1953. “Knoll Studio” logo and Mies van der Rohe signature stamped into frame. The original glass top is missing. We can order a new top upon request but it is more economical and safer to ship the frame only and order the top locally. DIMENSIONS: W 40” x D 40” x H 18.5”.
