Item Description
Monumental “Alpha” conference or dining table by Nicos Zographos. The gloss polished high grade stainless steel base is extremely heavy and rock solid, made to carry very heavy tabletops in marble or stone. The 4 toes have adjustable feet to install the piece vibration free on any surface. The base is photographed with a square white lacquered MDF top with grey leather inlay. This top is available, but the photo is meant to illustrate what the table will look like with a marble top of your own preference in size of 180 x 180 cm or with a diameter of 200 cm. The Greek-born industrial designer Nicos Zographos is hardly a household name despite that his furnishings have graced interiors by I.M. Pei and Gordon Bunshaft. Yet his New York–based company, Zographos Designs Limited, founded in 1964, only recently shuttered after a remarkable run manufacturing luxuriously minimalist, abstractly sculptural furniture to exacting standards of craftsmanship.
