Rosenthal is a well-established and renowned name in the world of luxury tableware and decorative accessories. With a rich history dating back to 1879, Rosenthal has consistently epitomized exquisite craftsmanship, timeless design, and exceptional quality. In the 1960’s and 70’s Rosenthal invited avant garde designers like Joe Colombo and Pierluigi Ghianda to design innovative furniture. Rosenthal produced those designs in limited numbers to get rid of their old-fashioned image. The furniture was too modern and advanced to be successful at the time, but now these designs are sought after collectors items.
