Exceptional vintage Cab side chair, designed by Mario Bellini for Cassina and dating to 1980. This wonderful early example is upholstered in elephant hide grey leather, now beautifully softened through decades of use. The leather has been professionally reconditioned, retaining its original character while revealing a rich, understated patina that gives the chair an especially inviting and sophisticated presence. Bellini’s Cab chair is celebrated for its distinctive construction, with a sculptural steel frame covered by a precisely tailored leather upholstery that fits like a second skin. The combination of strong architectural lines and beautifully aged leather makes this an enduring icon of Italian design.
